Cost Estimates
SPS Moving provide a non-binding moving charge estimate based upon the approximate weight of
the household goods shipment from residence to residence using the mileage distance between
the point of origin and point of destination, and adding any extra charges as explained later.
The mileage charge component is usually the largest expense component and represents the cost
of loading the item(s), transporting them and unloading them on the other end. Please be as
descriptive of the dwelling types, and be sure to mention any garages and their size,
outbuildings, etc. Examples of dwelling types are:
Studio Apartment
1 - Bedroom Apartment
2 - Bedroom Apartment
2 - Bedroom Home
3 - Bedroom Home
4 - Bedroom Home
5+ Bedroom Home
SPS Moving crews will wrap furniture in thick blankets specially made to protect fine wood as
part of the service. They will carry each item out of the house or building, and load it in
their truck. Upon delivery the crew will unload the truck and set each piece wherever directed
by the recipient. In addition, SPS Moving can provide the following packing and unpacking
services for an extra fee:
- All loose items packed and completely sealed in industry-approved cartons.

Fragile and breakable items, such as crystal, china, knick knacks, wood-framed mirrors,
framed pictures and paintings, any glass doors, etc., wrapped and packed in double-walled,
industry-approved cartons.

Large furniture items drawers and shelves emptied. Any loose pieces secured. On extra fine
pieces and upholstered fabrics, extra protection added, such as wrapping them completely in
bubble wrap or paper pads prior to pickup.
- Delicate, odd-shaped items, like sculptures, custom crated for extra security.

Glass table tops, solid glass mirrors and marble or stone of any kind must also crated
using solid wood crating applications.
- All mattresses and box springs placed in mattress boxes.
